NEUROMODULATORS
Botulinum toxin is used to relax muscles, thereby preventing the formation of wrinkles and fine lines. It is also used for other indications, such as the treatment of bruxism, migraines, and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

HYALURONIC ACID FILLER
Hyaluronic acid is one of the most widely used dermal fillers. It mimics the hyaluronic acid naturally produced by the body and helps restore facial volume by filling in hollows, wrinkles, and folds that develop over time.

What is botulinum toxin?
Botulinum toxin, one of the best-known brand names being Botox, is a protein that reduces muscle contraction. It has been used in medicine for over 20 years to treat various medical conditions, such as strabismus and certain spastic disorders.

In aesthetic medicine, it is used to reduce so-called “dynamic” wrinkles (those that appear with movement but disappear at rest) and to prevent “static” wrinkles. Several areas can be treated, including the upper face, gummy smile, chin, masseters, neck, and more.

The optimal effect generally appears about two weeks after the injection and lasts approximately 3 to 4 months. As the effect wears off, muscle movement gradually returns. For long-term prevention, 3 to 4 treatment sessions per year are usually recommended.

What dose do I need?
Each patient and each muscle is different. That is why a medical evaluation is essential before every treatment to properly assess your needs and expectations.

What is a dermal filler?
“Fillers” are injectable dermal fillers administered beneath the skin. There are several types available on the market, the most well-known being hyaluronic acid.
It is a substance naturally found in various tissues of the human body. It has been recreated in a laboratory in gel form and is used, among other things, to:
-
Reduce certain wrinkles and fine lines
-
Correct hollows
-
Add volume
-
Redefine contours

Results are immediate, with optimal effects visible after about two weeks. Longevity typically ranges from 8 to 24 months and depends primarily on the type of treatment, the product used, the injection site, and each patient’s metabolism.
