Evaluation under ultrasound

During the first appointment, we will ask you about your state of health, we will do a targeted physical examination and we will finish with a Doppler ultrasound of the lower limbs to know the state of your venous system.

Surface sclerotherapy treatment

If the ultrasound does not show any large diseased veins and there are only small superficial varicose veins to treat, we will proceed with surface sclerotherapy treatment. This involves small, very delicate and not very painful injections that inject a sclerosing agent that will close the targeted vein.

Ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy

If the ultrasound shows that the problematic veins are of larger caliber, they will be injected with another sclerosing agent, in the form of foam, with ultrasound guidance.

How does a phlebology appointment take place?

First, a medical evaluation will be completed by our certified phlebology physician.

Next, a Doppler ultrasound of your legs will be performed to assess your venous system.

Finally, a treatment plan will be presented to you based on the complete medical evaluation as well as your needs.

Neuromodulateurs

Botulinum toxin injections help reduce muscle contraction in the treated area, thereby preventing and softening the appearance of certain wrinkles. The full effect is typically achieved about two weeks after treatment and generally lasts 3 to 4 months.

Fillers

Dermal fillers, such as hyaluronic acid, are injected beneath the skin to restore volume, correct hollows, redefine contours, and reduce the appearance of certain wrinkles. Their longevity typically ranges from 9 to 24 months and depends on the type of treatment, the product used, the area treated, and the patient’s metabolism.
